I Rise Up.

A couple of weeks ago, I never thought I’d be writing this. Not writing as such, but writing about what I have come to conclude.

I’ve had a realisation.

There is so much negative news. There are many forces at work in this world presently that seek to create upheaval, harm, hurt, and war.

These people are trying to move us, move us to take action, action of sorts, that we wouldn’t consider. For they ask us to be hate, be pain, be that which we aren’t or will we ever choose to be.

What I realised, is that for me, the more they will for me to feel such things, the more I am driven to be everything they are not. Love, peace, life, excitement and joy.

For every life, they wish to steal, there is another I want to save. For every joy, they wish to snuff out, 3 more I wish to ignite. For every woman, they wish to supress, another I endeavour to lift up. For every voice silenced, another I encourage to scream from the rooftop.

Breathe hate, I show love,
Press down, I pull up
Inspire hate, I ignite love
Wreak havoc, I walk in peace
Raise terror, I breath calm.

You will not win, as you have not my heart
For my heart is within and forever my own,
For as long as it beats,
my mind is my own.

They urge me to live more in every single moment. To be present, to be love, to smile often, laugh much, to cuddle my kids and all those I love. For if we stick together, and continue to love, we will move forward at least in our lives with our love, what we think about we bring about. If it is love, laughter and good times shared, that is what we will create. We will not let their flame of terror ignite in us or our community. We are peace, we are love. And we will continue to rise above.
