Following your joy! The Soul's Journey- Part 2

Finding your souls purpose is a wonderful journey, once embarked on you WILL never look back, you WILL find what makes you happy and what brings you joy.

Once you know what your Soul’s purpose is, you can take steps daily to incorporate this joy into your daily life. Speaking for myself, when I embrace what brings me joy and set aside time for it each day, I feel completely on purpose, I feel invigorated, enthusiastic, alive, excited, hopeful, and the biggest feeling of all is one of PEACE. Peace with myself.

The process to finding your true purpose can be a short or long journey, it comes down to how much time you have to dedicate to your inner discovery.

It’s a bit like excavation, going through the layers, removing the old layers of self that no longer serve your highest good, releasing emotions and energy blockages, letting go of negative and limited thinking, and allowing yourself to dream again, and acknowledging that you DESERVE to feel good and do what you love. We all do!

The first step in this journey, as it was for me, is meditation. Meditation is taking the time to stop, pause and breath consciously. It is time to reflect and begin listening to your body, listening to what it is trying to tell you. Through meditation you become aware of how you really feel. It connects you to your own inner guidance system, your intuition.

Taking the time to meditate is pivotal to healing and an integral step to finding your inner joy. 5-10 minutes is a great start, and done weekly can create great results.

The next step is awareness. Awareness within the meditation. When you are sitting in your own space with your own thoughts. You become aware of your inner dialogue, you become aware of how you are feeling in your body. Emotions may rise to the surface, and this in itself is often incredibly healing, just to allow yourself the space and time to feel.

There are often times and situations in life, grief particularly. When the pain is too great, some people close down, and hold the emotions within. This is incredibly detrimental to long term health, but is an absolutely normal coping mechanism.

During meditation, when your mind has become quiet, and you are completely in the moment, you begin to notice areas of pain, or unease in a particular area of your body, which could represent an energy blockage. Energy blockages can be created from past trauma, or emotions that at the time were too difficult to process, so caused an energy blockage which now presents as physical pain.
